Dr. Florian B. Mayr is a physician-scientist with a longstanding interest in improving the care and outcomes of critically ill patients. His research focuses on innovative clinical trial design, precision medicine approaches, and the study of long-term outcomes after critical illness. He is particularly interested in understanding and addressing racial disparities in acute care processes and improving follow-up care for disadvantaged populations. Dr. Mayr is actively involved in several national and international research initiatives, including the REMAP-CAP trial, and serves on various committees dedicated to advancing critical care research and practice.
