Profile
An experimental social psychologist, Leslie Hausmann, PhD, has devoted her career to improving the health and health care of marginalized and minoritized Veteran populations through research and quality improvement. Her primary research interests include understanding how issues of discrimination and bias contribute to health and health care disparities. Her research spans the full continuum of health equity research, including studies designed to identify, understand, and address health and healthcare disparities.
As an Associate Director of CHERP, Dr. Hausmann works with the Executive Leadership Team to cultivate research partnerships, collaborations, and shareholder engagement; build research infrastructure to support high impact health equity research; and promote an inclusive work environment and culture of excellence.
