Profile

Ms. Jamie Estock is a Human Factors Scientist with experience leading research and quality improvement projects in safety-critical domains such as marine transportation, civil aviation, military aviation, and healthcare. Currently, Ms. Estock is a full-time employee within the Research and Development Service Line at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System where she created, implemented, and currently manages a human factors evaluation program to ensure the safest use of medical products in the delivery of care to Veterans. In this role, she provides strategic direction on the mission, goals, execution, and growth of the program and provides expert analysis and advice to senior leaders at VA Pittsburgh and across VHA.

Ms. Estock also serves as the Co-Director of the Advanced Patient Safety Fellowship at VA Pittsburgh where she provides education in patient safety practices and leadership, advises fellows on project and research methodology and content, and provides guidance in personal and professional development. Ms. Estock holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a M.A. in Human Factors Psychology from George Mason University.
