Profile
Amanda Peeples, PhD, is CHERP COIN Investigator and Qualitative Evaluation Lead for the VA's Safer Aging through Geriatrics-informed Evidence-based Practices Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (SAGE QUERI).
Dr. Peeples is an ethnographic gerontologist and qualitative methodologist with extensive experience in ethnography, qualitative interviewing, and a variety of qualitative data analysis methods. In addition to her work on SAGE QUERI, she works with several CHERP investigators on the collection and analysis of qualitative data for ongoing and proposed research and evaluation projects on a wide range of health-related topics. Before she joined CHERP and SAGE QUERI in 2022, Dr. Peeples was the director of the Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research Unit at VA's VISN 5 Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC) in Baltimore, MD.
