Both sites of CHERP -- Pittsburgh and Philadelphia -- benefit from advisory groups made up of Veterans who contribute their perspectives on VA-funded research. The purpose of both groups is to incorporate the Veteran's voice in our work, to help improve the design of patient-relevant research, increase uptake of VA-funded research into practice, and build Veteran support for VA research. In Philadelphia, the Veterans Community Advisory Board (VCAB) focuses specifically on CHERP research. In Pittsburgh, the Veterans Advisory Board serves the entire VA Pittsburgh Healthsystem.
