American Journal of Public Health (AJPH) Supplement on VA Health Equity

The VA Office of Health Equity (10A6) is proud to join with the American Journal of Public Health (AJPH) to bring focus on the health equity issues specific to our nation’s Veterans through the release of the VA Health Equity Supplement. The AJPH supplement focuses on improving the understanding of the root causes of health and health care disparities and on reducing/eliminating such disparities among vulnerable Veteran populations. The supplement includes over twenty articles, comprising editorials and peer reviewed research articles and briefs specific to Health Equity and Veterans. The VA is committed to providing individualized, proactive, patient driven health care in a way that eliminates health disparities and assures health equity. Through research we gain understanding of the causes of these disparities and evaluate and determine effectiveness of intervention strategies.
