CHERP Investigator Awarded $6.5 Million PCORI Grant
CHERP Core Investigator, Shari Rogal, MD, MPH, has been awarded a $6.5 million grant from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) for her project, “GTI: Comparing Effectiveness of Implementation Strategies to Improve Cancer Screening for Veterans.” Dr. Rogal will collaborate with Andrew Gawron, MD, PhD at the University of Utah to compare the effectiveness of two evidence-based implementation strategies (i.e., a patient navigation or facilitation program) at 48 VA sites to determine the best methods for closing critical evidence-to-practice gaps in cancer screening in Veterans.
